Cloverfield Hottie Revealed, Rest of Movie Still a Mystery January 7
By now you’ve all probably seen the trailer for the new Blair Witch Project type monster mega movie Cloverfield and are completely puzzled as to what the hell is going on. Well we still haven’t figured that out just as of yet (except that this isn’t what the monsters look like) but we have figured out just how smoking hot one of the film’s five survivors is.
Her name in Odette Yustman and aside from being one of the countless kindergarten classmates Schwarzenegger was sworn to protect in the Governor’s most unfamous movie Kindergarten Cop, playing some girl who screams towards the very end of the Transformers movie, and acting as “reefer girl” (an undoubtedly small role) in Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, Odette doesn’t have very much to put in her acting resume.
Well now GQ magazine has named the Cloverfield cutie this month’s VERGE girl. Meaning they think shes on the “verge” of become a A-list actress:
Though Odette Yustman stars in J. J. Abrams’s new top-secret screamer, for a while there, even she didn’t know the movie’s title. Abrams printed call sheets tagging the film Cheese, Slusho, Monkey, even Chocolate Outrage. All smoke screens. “I was sworn to secrecy,” says Yustman, “but things kept getting leaked on the Internet. I think there was a mole. It’s called Cloverfield now.” Not exactly bone-chilling. “It’s the name of the street off the freeway where you exit for J.J.’s office.” The 22-year-old Cuban- Californian can’t say much else about the project, except that it features “intimate, terrifying footage of an attack on New York City” and “a monster” or “monsters” she’s never seen. (But she promises the film is scary.) This woman knows gore on an experiential level—and loves it. “I grew up on a farm,” she says. “I’d watch my grandfather shoot our pigs in the head. It was horrifying—until we’d eat them.”

And although IMDB lists her as not having any new movie projects after Cloverfield, with a body like Jessica Alba, and a willingness to do a wet tee-shirt photo shoot, you can be sure we’ll be seeing plenty more of Odette Yustman.
