Eva Mendes Calvin Klein Underwear Ads

Since the start of 2008 the 34 year old actress has been doing everything she can to promote herself in a more umm… “Sexy” fashion. A Process which included entering rehab, filming a nipple exposing scene in “We Own the Night”, popping out a nip during a video interview, wearing black lace underwear in her new flick “The Women”, going topless for Italian Vogue, and going topless in Frank Miller’s new CGI flick “The Spirit”.

Well Eva’s willingness to “Do anything for a role”, and her “What ever you want Mr. Cameraman” attitude has been paying off. Eva, who holds the 7 spot on Maxim’s Hot 100 two years running is part of Calvin Klein’s new ad campaign for both their underwear clothing line and the brand’s perfume: Obsession.

Why use a drug-free actress with a voluptuous body to represent the company’s clothes instead of the industry’s usual drug free-basing models? Calvin Klein president, Tom Murry, had this to say about Eva’s extra wide underwear line:

“This is a departure from more slender body types that have typically been used in Calvin Klein Underwear ads. But this is not so much about a trend of being more curvaceous. This [bra] product is made for a curvaceous woman.”

So far Clavin Klein’s new risquÃ© campaign hasn’t payed off. Recently a commercial for the brand’s perfume, Obsession, that featuring a nude Eva Mendes was banned in the U.S. We havn’t been able to track down a copy yet, but as soon as we do we’ll be sure to post it.

So to promote the company’s underwear line Calvin decided to go with these less obscene photos. The new ads were photographed by Steven Meisel (the same photographer who took Eva’s topless pictures for Italian Vogue) show Mendes wearing the company’s trademark bra and thong but hide the Latina’s sovereign assets.

Once again, whoring yourself out never seems to fail in Hollywood.
